The Pittsburgh 79ers are a competitive, non-profit lacrosse club primarily serving Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. We are entering our 6th summer season and have expanded from 3 youth teams to currently fielding teams at 10U and grad years 2034 through 2025. 

Our Mission

Our program's mission is to grow the game of Western PA lacrosse by giving our players an opportunity to play year round.  We fulfill that mission by ensuring our players are being coached by excellent coaches.  They will receive coaching from US Lacrosse certified coaches many of whom are past collegiate athletes and current college, high school or youth coaches. We also have specialty coaches for face-offs and goalies.  Our main goal is to educate and develop our players with a comprehensive training program that includes strength and conditioning workouts in addition to lacrosse training.  We hosting local scrimmages, have our tournament director select the best tournament destinations both on the East coast and in the Midwest,  offer recruiting help and game film for our high school plays and host a majority of our practices on a turf field.   The final part of our mission is to keep them playing while instilling confidence both on and off the field.
