79ers Lacrosse Refund Policy
The Pittsburgh 79ers Lacrosse Club has acted as a nonprofit style organization to keep the registration costs as low as possible while still offering an excellent experience for our players and their families. Our expectation is that once you accept that registration spot you are committing to us we are committing to you. Our fall and summer programs are being worked on months in advance. We choose the best tournaments, hire the best coaches, secure facilities & uniforms well in advance.
The tryout fee is considered a non-refundable deposit, usually only $25 to help facilitate the costs of the field location and coaches.
Prior to the season we use player registration fees to fund our operating budget, which includes tournament fees, field fees, coaches’ salaries, equipment, uniform orders, and any other annual expenses. In order to operate our organization needs player fees prior to the season. Because of this a partial refund, 90% refund will be issued prior to September 15th (approximately one month after the initial registration).
After September 15th, there will be no refunds issued if an individual player requests to voluntarily not participate at any point after accepting their roster registration. The player and their family will forfeit all monies paid, and no credits will be provided. This includes but is not limited to if a player cannot attend one of their team’s scheduled events. In addition, after this date there will be no refunds for any uniforms, apparel, hotel rooms or special equipment purchased for a particular program.
In the case of injuries that prevent the player from playing, refunds may be issued after the date of injury. Each case will be evaluated on an individual basis by the members of the Board. The board may request the following: a letter from the child's doctor outlining the injury, length of recovery, etc.
By registering and paying for the season you are agreeing to the refund policy. Please contact our board at [email protected] if you have any questions.
